The first-phase project of SWJTU-Leeds Joint International Centre for Engineering Practice and Innovation (ICEPI) was successfully completed in November 2022, after a year of construction. The Center, jointly built by SWJTU-Leeds Joint School and the Engineering Training Center of the University, is an innovative practice platform for developing excellent engineers, top-notch innovative talents and interdisciplinary intellectuals. With the support of the teaching platform of engineering training practice and the open innovation practice platform of SWJTU Makerspace, the Centre will be utilized in the cultivation of international and innovative talents and the innovative practice of the School.
The Joint School and the Engineering Training Center will in future strengthen communication and cooperation, jointly promote the cultivation of innovative talents, advance science and innovation competitions, and build a multidisciplinary integration laboratory at the School.
